Precision Printing Technology-Gravure printing
Gravure printing employs engraved cylinders to transfer ink onto substrates, delivering exceptional image reproduction. Widely used for high-volume production of packaging, magazines, and decorative materials, this technique excels in consistent quality across long print runs.
The Gravure Process
- Cylinder Preparation: Copper-plated cylinders chemically etched with microscopic cells
- Ink Application: Precision ink filling of engraved cells
- Doctoring: Excess ink removed with doctor blade
- Impression: Substrate pressed against cylinder (200-400 PSI)
- Drying: Instantaneous solvent evaporation
